Kenzie and Mom stopped by C's place for a visit yesterday and today. C resting, showing signs of improvement from one day to the next. Mom turned to Kenzie at a certain point and said, "Son's aren't supposed to be sick." Having lost our brother Bill to AIDS in the early 90's, she knows what she's talking about.

We're just keeping C in our thoughts, and hoping for more ass-kicking, honey in the heart, holding in the light, wheelsqueaking, Old Testament, Tiki-totemed, force-of-will, name-your-source-of-grace chemo-power, the results of which we celebrated last week.
We've gotten a few photos in from friends. Gorgeous images, full of life. A perfect time for their promise of new growth, renewal. This one's from Carol's garden:
These next two are from Jeff, another survivor. Powerful and eternal.
These remind me of this shot that David sent in - a goal of ours, seeing C back in woods, enjoying life.

We also got good news from Roger that his sister Vic has made it through the worst of her fight with pneumonia that was mentioned in a previous post. He sent in these photos. We're very glad to hear about her recovery and wish her the best.

And one last thing. I'd mentioned Lennon & McCartney the other day, questioning whether love is really all you need. Then this clip showed up in a friend's Facebook feed today, a subtle reminder from the cosmos to reconsider. I just had to post it.
Again, thanks for the photos and support, and here's to C making it through Hell Week 3, and then regrouping for what is to come. Even when you're getting good news, Cancer Sucks. But if love is all he needs, then he's covered.

Those guys sure were on to something. Funny, isn't it, how the same everything always is -- still an endless war, still hard to comprehend that "there's nothing you can do that can't be done" -- to trust in love. I like that (is that Ringo?) says "that just saying it isn't gonna do it" ... and kudos to you (plural) for DOING it.
